Scott, Owner and senior Captain grew up in Mid-Coast Maine along the rocky shores of Penobscot Bay. Running small boats on the lakes and bays helped to feed the fire & passion for the sea. At the age of 19, he obtained his first master's license and ran the ferries to Monhegan Island. Shortly after that, he worked for a handful of excursion companies and eventually worked his way to a cruise ship company as chief mate. This included trips running from Maine to Florida and up the Mississippi River to Memphis. Presently he is serving as Captain on a 22 Million dollar support ship.
After becoming a Captain, Scott grew into managing yachts and delivering them on a regular basis. Currently SSE Vessel Delivery has clients up and down the Eastern seaboard from Maine to Florida. Making the logistics work for everyone. Having experience on yachts 20' to 122', and commercial vessels 18' to 330' giving him the upper hand on all different types of drives.
He currently holds a U.S.C.G. 100 Ton Near Coastal License with commercial asst. towing. He has experience running Z drives, jet drives, single and twin screw.
One of his favorite things to teach besides navigation is Shipboard firefighting and shore side firefighting of vessels and ships.
Haley, the office manager, Chief Stew and Junior deck hand. She handles all the interior logistics as well as the main office. From lining up logistics for the vessel while in transit to assisting in training crew, Haley can do all aspects from watch standing to detailed cleaning.
She grew up in Sweden......Maine of course. Her experience ranges from small yachts to large estates. Creating programs serving guests and clients. She can do it all! She joined the team in 2015 and covers public relations and logistics.
Haley has served on vessels 30' to 85' commercial and private.
Paul, one of the Captains is anything but new to the boating industry. He has been running private yachts and commercial vessels for many years. Captain Paul is experienced in sailing and power, from Maine to the British Virgin Islands. Paul holds a 100-ton Near Coastal U.S.C.G. License with a sailing endorsement. Along with Commercial Asst. towing.
His vast experience on sailing vessels helps us capture the sailing side of our clients. His experience also includes emergency operations at sea. Paul has conducted numerous rescues at sea, from emergency and commercial vessel salvage. Capt. Paul is a great asset to us.
Jerry, also born on the coast of Maine, grew up around lobster boats moving tenders towards the end of his career. He takes pride in his ability to run single screw with out bow thrusters. Jerry is one of our deck officers. His position allows the lead Captain to sleep and feel safe while they transit on non-stop deliveries.
Captain George Jonson, a USCG Unlimited master, all ocean, Western rivers and inland waters. He is the biggest asset to our company. He from a young age wanted to be a captain. He runs most of his time in the Gulf of Mexico on large vessels or tow boats. He can be found in his spare time flying in the clouds in various planes.
Captain Matt grew up in a remote logging camp in Northern Maine and was introduced to the nautical world when his parents purchased a coastal sailboat and ran it every summer out of Stockton Springs. He attended Maine Maritime academy graduating with a bachelor’s in Marine Transportation. He has sailed on large fishing vessels off the West Coast, petroleum and chemical tankers, offshore semi-submersible oil platforms, and supply vessels in Maine. He sailed chief mate piloting small and medium-sized cruise ships on the Columbia and Snake rivers, Mississippi River, and all over the east coast from Maine to Florida. He holds tankerman and medical PICs, a Third Mate Unlimited Oceans, and a 100-ton Master of Oceans. He is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys canoe expeditions with his daughters.
Matt’s attention to detail and key for teaching marine operations makes him a huge asset to our company. Matt holds a dynamic position certificate with vast experience in Z drive operation.

Chief Engineer James Oldroyd of Midcoast Maine is the MacGyver of the team. He grew up building, machining, designing, and engineering everything he needed. This captured his passion for problem-solving on large scales. He attended Maine Maritime Academy where he obtained his 3rd Asst. engineers license. James used his skills to work for North Point Marine overseeing USCG vessel dry dock projects worth millions of dollars. His attention to detail and drive to keep on schedule are one of the many reasons he is a great fit here. He is a certified HVAC tech and allows us to use him on many projects.
