Captain Scott – Founder & Senior Captain, SSE Vessel Delivery LLC
Scott grew up along the rugged shores of Penobscot Bay in Mid-Coast Maine, where early days running small boats on lakes and bays sparked a lifelong passion for the sea. At just 19 years old, he earned his first U.S. Coast Guard Master’s License and began operating ferries to Monhegan Island, launching a career defined by leadership, resilience, and maritime excellence.
Over the years, Scott has served with excursion companies, advanced to Chief Mate aboard cruise ships, and navigated routes from Maine to Florida and up the Mississippi River to Memphis. His most recent command, a $22 million support vessel, bringing precision and professionalism to every voyage.
As the founder of SSE Vessel Delivery LLC, Scott manages yacht deliveries and vessel logistics for clients up and down the Eastern Seaboard, offering tailored solutions that make complex operations seamless. His experience spans:
• Yachts from 20' to 122'
• Commercial vessels from 18' to 330'
• Drive systems including Z-drives, jet drives, single and twin screw
He currently holds a U.S.C.G. 200 Ton Near Coastal License with Commercial Assistance Towing endorsement, and is known for his calm command, technical expertise, and dedication to safety.
One of Scott’s greatest passions is teaching shipboard and shoreside firefighting, alongside navigation and crew familiarization. Whether delivering a vessel, training a team, or managing a multi-million-dollar project, Scott brings integrity, experience, and a deep respect for the sea.
Haley - Office Manager, Chief Stewardess & Junior Deckhand
Haley is the heartbeat of SSE Vessel Delivery LLC’s operations—balancing interior logistics, crew support, and office management with precision and grace. Whether she’s coordinating vessel logistics in transit or training new crew members, Haley ensures every detail is handled with care.
She grew up in Sweden… Maine, of course, and brings a warm, guest-focused approach shaped by years of experience managing small yachts, large estates, and client service programs. Since joining SSE in 2015, Haley has become an essential part of the team—covering public relations, logistics coordination, and hands-on support both onboard and ashore.
Her capabilities include:
• Watch standing and crew support
• Detailed interior cleaning and provisioning
• Guest service programming
• Crew training and familiarization
• Vessel logistics while underway
Haley has served aboard commercial and private vessels ranging from 30' to 85', and is known for her adaptability, professionalism, and ability to “do it all”—from the helm to the galley to the front office
Gabriel Cooley – Chief Mate & Logistics Compliance Officer
Gabriel is a lifelong Mainer with over 11 years of experience as a coastal Captain, bringing deep local knowledge and operational versatility to SSE Vessel Delivery LLC. His maritime background spans lobster boats, public safety vessels, and private yachts, making him a trusted asset across a wide range of missions.
Gabriel’s expertise includes:
• Fire and EMS training
• Survival at sea and expert-level fishing
• Local navigation and route planning
• Industrial diesel and hydraulic systems
With a strong foundation in logistics and crisis management, Gabriel ensures every delivery and operation runs smoothly, safely, and in full compliance. He is currently pursuing his U.S. Coast Guard credentials and maintains full TWIC federal clearance, reinforcing his commitment to professional standards and secure operations.
Whether supporting vessel delivery, managing compliance, or troubleshooting underway, Gabriel brings technical skill, calm leadership, and a deep respect for Maine’s maritime heritage.
Captain Paul – Senior Captain & Sailing Specialist
Captain Paul is anything but new to the boating industry. With decades of experience running private yachts and commercial vessels, he brings seasoned expertise to every delivery and operation. His career spans sailing and power vessels from Maine to the British Virgin Islands, making him a trusted resource for clients seeking confident, capable command.
Paul holds a 100-ton Near Coastal U.S.C.G. License with both a Sailing Endorsement and Commercial Assistance Towing certification, allowing him to operate a wide range of vessels with precision and professionalism.
His background includes:

• Emergency operations and rescue at sea
• Commercial and private vessel salvage
• Client-focused delivery and charter support

Jerry – Deck Officer & Watch Specialist
Born on the coast of Maine, Jerry grew up immersed in the rhythms of the working waterfront—spending his early years around lobster boats and later transitioning to tender operations toward the end of his career. With decades of hands-on experience, Jerry takes pride in his ability to run single-screw vessels without bow thrusters, showcasing precision and control in tight quarters and challenging conditions.
As one of SSE Vessel Delivery LLC’s trusted Deck Officers, Jerry plays a critical role in non-stop transits, allowing the lead Captain to rest with confidence. His steady presence and seasoned judgment ensure safe passage during overnight runs and long-haul deliveries.

Captain George Jonson – USCG Unlimited Master & Gulf Operations Specialist
Captain George Jonson a U.S. Coast Guard Unlimited Master licensed for All Oceans, Western Rivers, and Inland Waters. From a young age, George was determined to become a captain, and he’s spent his career commanding large vessels and towboats, primarily in the Gulf of Mexico.
His deep operational experience and calm leadership make him a trusted figure in high-stakes marine environments. Whether managing complex transits or overseeing heavy commercial operations, George brings precision, professionalism, and decades of expertise to every mission.
When he’s not on the water, George can be found flying through the clouds in a variety of aircraft—his passion for navigation extending from sea to sky.
His strengths include:

Captain Matt – Captain & Marine Operations Leader
Captain Matt grew up in a remote logging camp in Northern Maine, where his introduction to the nautical world began with summers aboard a coastal sailboat out of Stockton Springs. That early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for maritime operations, leading him to graduate from Maine Maritime Academy with a Bachelor’s in Marine Transportation.
Matt’s career spans a wide range of vessels and environments, including:
• Large fishing vessels off the West Coast
• Petroleum and chemical tankers
• Offshore semi-submersible oil platforms
• Supply vessels in Maine
• Cruise ships on the Columbia, Snake, and Mississippi Rivers
• East Coast routes from Maine to Florida
He holds a Third Mate Unlimited Oceans license, a 100-ton Master of Oceans, and certifications as a Tankerman and Medical Person in Charge (PIC). Matt also holds a Dynamic Positioning certificate and has extensive experience operating Z-drive propulsion systems.
Known for his attention to detail and talent for teaching marine operations, Matt is a key asset to SSE Vessel Delivery LLC. Whether you need crew training, vessel delivery, or operational support, Captain Matt brings deep expertise and calm leadership to every mission.
When he’s not on the water, Matt enjoys fly fishing and canoe expeditions with his daughters, and is currently dedicating his off-time to upgrading his USCG license
James – Chief Engineer & Technical Specialist
James Oldroyd, a proud native of Midcoast Maine, is the MacGyver of the SSE team—a hands-on problem solver with a passion for building, machining, and engineering solutions from the ground up. Raised in a world where ingenuity was a way of life, James developed the skills to design and fabricate whatever was needed, laying the foundation for a career defined by technical excellence.
He graduated from Maine Maritime Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Operations and earned his Third Assistant Engineer’s License, launching him into high-level marine engineering projects. James went on to oversee multi-million-dollar USCG vessel dry dock operations for North Point Marine, where his attention to detail and commitment to schedule made him an indispensable asset.
James is also a certified HVAC technician, allowing SSE Vessel Delivery LLC to tap into his expertise across a wide range of projects—from onboard systems to shoreside infrastructure. His versatility and precision make him a go-to resource for:
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• Dry dock project oversight
• HVAC and systems integration
• Engineering support for vessel delivery and refits

Kaylee – Marketing & Social Media
Kaylee brings strong management and time coordination skills to the team, honed through her work overseeing multiple offices at Dead River Company. Her eye for detail and creative flair shine through in the stunning photos and videos she captures for SSE Vessel Delivery. Whether it's showcasing a sleek yacht in motion or the behind-the-scenes of a delivery, Kaylee helps tell our story with clarity and style.
Pat – Deckhand
Pat brings a wealth of experience from both law enforcement and maritime operations. Currently serving on the BIW Security Team and Marine Unit, he’s trained to handle high-pressure situations with calm precision. His background includes years of deckhand work spanning the Mississippi River, the Maine coast, and Canadian waters. Pat’s expertise in emergency response and crew training makes him an invaluable asset to every voyage.
Myron is a seasoned marine engineer with a distinguished career that began as a Third Assistant Engineer (Unlimited) and progressed to Chief Engineer (Unlimited Horsepower). He currently serves as Chief Engineer aboard a RO-RO vessel, frequently operating between the United States and Germany.
With extensive experience managing multinational crews, Myron oversees everything from small-scale underway projects to major overhauls in port. A graduate of Maine Maritime Academy with a degree in Marine Engineering, he combines technical mastery with strategic leadership.
Beyond marine operations, Myron is developing a power-focused company, drawing on his experience designing solar farms and small-scale power plants. His only limitation is access to resources—his vision is boundless.
In his downtime, Myron enjoys boating and working with excavation equipment, a passion passed down from his father. His deep knowledge of foreign operations, logistics, and hands-on repairs makes him an invaluable asset to any team.
